Sitting by the fire

Seems this weekend will be ideal for just sitting in front of the fire. Unfortunately I don't have a working fireplace, but a girl can dream. Like this lovely room above. Yes, the DC Metro area is once again the bulls-eye for a big winter storm. They are forecasting up to 2 feet! CRAZY! Except for the occasional trip outside to shovel (my back is already protesting), I'll be stuck inside until at least Monday. So I've decided to make myself a to-do list. I figure I'll make the most of this weather induced detainment and get cracking on some of those projects I keep putting off.

1. Finish painting my master bath - just those hard to reach corners left

2. Get started on that storage box project for my office -
wish I could remember the fellow blogger who posted this
fabulous idea

3. Make Valentines for the niece and nephews - sweet

4. Clean - not that glamorous, but oh so necessary

5. Bake - a girls gotta have a little sweet treat during her snow incarceration

6. Catch up on my Tivo Now Playing list - 2 weeks of Human Target, Mark Valley...swoon

Ok, so that's a good start. We don't want to get too crazy now do we.

Stay Warm!

A Vision in White

It's snowed yet again here in Virginia. I guess we're making up for the past several winters where we've seen barely a trace of the white stuff. This was a particularly pretty snow. Clinging to the trees like whipped cream or something. This vision of winter white has inspired me to look for beautiful rooms in white.

How's the weather in your little corner of the world?
Has it inspired you today?
